Late blooming cherries

This week has been much colder than what we had in the last year.
Beautiful Sakuras bloomed last week, did not last long enough us to enjoy it under nice and warm spring. According to weather forecast partially sunny day next few days beside Friday. However, the weekends seem better.

After work today, I found a little sakura flowers in our garden. The tree itself is very small comparing to those sakura trees on the street but the size of flower is bigger!

shearing these small sakura on my blog is awesome there are still more coming.
We call them "Osozaki no Sakura" Osozaki means (a) Late blooming. and sakura is for cherry tree.

I am still not sure what kind of cherry tree we have in our garden. Yet a late cherries are well known as those "weeping cherries" or "Double Cherries(八重桜:Yae Zakura)". Looking at our sakura does not seem to match any of them though.... later the week we may found out.

Yaezakura is only the generic name of their kind. They have quite variety of kind but, easy by saying Yaezakura. In our area we may name it as "牡丹桜:Botanzakura" because the shape of sakura looks like Botan flower.

Here is comparison of Botan Flower and Double Cherries. You may know what I'm talking about more now.

I think near Yubara area and Awakura area may have different situation, because they have quite colder temperature than here. We need your help to our contents! Leave comment or contact us on facebook.

Hopefully, you all enjoy the osozaki no sakura next couple of weeks!
